Navratri festival is one of the important festivals for Hindus. It is celebrated twice in a year-In the month of April and October. Out of these two, Navratri, which falls in October, is considered to be very important and called Maha Navratri. Devotees of Mata considered Navratri very auspitious for them. The nine manifestations of Goddess Durga worshipped on these nine days. Navratri is celebrated all over India, but it’s on peak in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. People of Gujarat and Maharashtra used to perform folk dance Garbha and play Dandiya during all nine days of Navratri. They dress up in very colorful attire with heavy jewellery in Gujarati style.
