Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra
A sacred Hindu pilgrimage dedicated to Lord Krishna located in the eastern coast at Puri in Odisha. It is a part of ‘Char Dham’ yatra so highly revered by the Hindus. The annual ‘Rath Yatra’ or the ‘Chariot Festival’ is famous all over the world especially among the disciples of Lord Krishna. It is celebrated every year on Ashadha Shukla Dwitiya. It marks the annual visit of Lord Jagannath to his maternal aunt’s place. The main three deities are Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra.
3 Nights / 4 Days
Day 01: Arrival
Welcome by our tour executive on arrival at the airport/railway station. You will check-in at the designated hotel. In the afternoon visit to Konark Sun Temple, Chandrabhaga Beach. Overnight halt at hotel.
Day 02: Rath Yatra
Early morning leave the hotel to see the world famous Rath Yatra. However, on this pious occasion devotees who are non-Hindus and foreigners are not allowed in the temple premises but witness the rath yatra from roof top. Overnight halt at hotel.
Day 03: Chilika
After breakfast visit to Chilika and see the beautiful Chilika Lake, Dolphin Point, Satapada and more if time allows. Return to Puri for overnight halt at hotel.
Day 04: Departure
After breakfast you will be escorted to the airport/railway station for your onward journey. Leave with the memorable moments of the Chariot Festival with the hope to visit again.
